He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Louis Helbling and Eleanor Elizabeth Straight; and his pet Joey. He is survived by: his former wife Margaret Helbling (Peggy); his children, Stephanie Breidenbaugh (David) of New Haven, IN, Cynthia Willis (Scott) of Whitmore Lake, MI and John Helbing (Heather) of Livonia, MI.; his stepchildren, Beverly Weaver (Eric) of Broomfield, CO and Robert Blank (Kristin) of Bloomington, MN; his grandchildren, Kayla and Zachary (Faith) of Tyler Willis, MI; and his stepdaughter Marissa.
