He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Franklin Mathews and Edna Shook Mathews; and his brothers, Paul and Dean Mathews. He is survived by: his wife Mary Bigley Mathews of Woodsfield; his children, Mike Mathews (Annette) of Ozark, Bonnie Kilburn (Kim) of Miltonsburg, Diane Houghton (Fred) of Cedar Edge and Chuck Mathews of Woodsfield; his grandchildren, Samantha Miller, Brett Mathews, Cole Mathews, Michael Demoney, Robert Demoney, Christopher Demoney, Justin Kilburn, Alex Kilburn and Chelsea Coplan; and his brother Roger Mathews (Mary Joe) of Woodsfield. He is also survived by 13 Great Grandchildren.
