He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Mieczkowski and Bernice Zygmuntowski Mieczkowski; his brothers, Anthony "Ziggy" Mieczkowski and Frankie Mieczkowski; and his son Robert "Bobby" Mieczkowski.

He is survived by: his wife Janet "Blondie" Harvilak Mieczkowski; his daughter Cynthia Tate; his daughter-in-law Alice Janeshek Mieczkowski; his siblings, Henry Mieczkowski and Irene Yoho (Donald); his grandchildren, Danielle Tate and Bryan Tate (Courtnie); and his great grandchildren, Wade and Kahlan Tate.

Toots' body has been donated to further scientific research and no services will be held at this time.
