He is survived by: his wife Linda Birney (Patterson); his children, Doug Birney (Kathy) of Wintersville and Sherry McCoy (Patrick) of Apex, NC; his grandchild Cale McCoy (Megan) of Raleigh, NC; and his great grandchildren, Harlow, Lennon, Beckham McCoy and Kylee Stull.
