She was predeceased by: her parents, William Chappell and Viola Hill Chappell; her husband George E. "Eddie" Batting; her sons, Ralph Batting and David Batting; and her brother Lawrence Chappell.
She is survived by: her friend Mariann Nelson of New Philadelphia, Ohio; her grandchildren, Holly Batting-Clark (Brandon), Derek Batting (Magda), Shawn Nelson (Jill) and Cheri Nelson; and her siblings, William Chappell, Donna Grimm and Dora Forden. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
