Julie Alpern wrote a sympathy message

“Folks, I am already missing our lovely Melva but I feel like I’ll get to visit with her more often, each day I rise she will be in my prayers. She was so good to me, and I’ll never forget her hand written letters I’ve saved. She never forgot a birthday. she always made me feel like my passions mattered. I’ll never forget her Reese‘s peanut butter on display in her home for all of her company. Her home was so warm and welcoming, and always felt like a slumber party. Rest in peace, my darling.”
