She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred L. Ludewig and Mildred M. Featner Ludewig; her daughter-in-law Roanne Whanger; her stepgranddaughter Sarah Duff; and her brother George E. Ludewig.

She is survived by: her husband Robert L. Whanger, Sr.; her children, Robert L. Whanger, Jr. (Sabrina) and Brenda Edwards (Jeff); her grandchildren, Ryan Whanger, Russell Whanger, Evelyn Edwards and Lydia Edwards; her stepgrandchildren, Tawnya Rankin (Eric), Jennifer Douglass (Shane), Jamin Bourne and David Duff; and her siblings, Alfred L. "Bub" Ludewig (Carole), William F. "Pepper" Ludewig (Shirley), Mary Louise "Minnie" Walters (Tom), Charlene Freshwater (Doug) and Anna Peterson. She is also survived by five step great grandchildren.
