He is survived by: his wife Joyce Shuck Kirkpatrick; his sons, J. E. Kirkpatrick III (Melissa) of Belpre, OH, T. Sean Kirkpatrick (Lisa) of Wadsworth, OH and Chad D. Kirkpatrick (Dawn Farver) of Chalfont, PA.; and his grandchildren, Alan, Dillon, Spencer Kirkpatrick and Aurora "Rory" Farver.
