He is survived by : his wife Suanne Dawson (Bezak); his sons, Michael Dawson (Sherry) and Jim Dawson (Karen); his grandchildren, Nicole, Nathan, Nicholas and Gavin; his great grandchild Marlee; and his siblings, James Dawson and Marguerite Carnahan (Ritie).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Valley Hospice or Jefferson County Humane Society.
