He was predeceased by: his wife Joan M. Keenan (Gillis); and his brother Paul J. Keenan. He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Boleza of Abington, Robert J. Keenan (Nancy) of Weymouth, Jim Keenan of Onset and Kathleen Spurr (Chuck) of Weymouth; and his sibling Beverly M. Walsh of Rockland. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Charles may be made to Old Colony Hospice, 321 Manley Stret, W. Bridgewater, MA 02379-1022.
