He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert S. Leather and Mary Backensto Leather; his daughter Pamela Sue Shambre; and his brother-in-law Charles Roberts. He is survived by: his wife Carol Henry; his daughters, Cindy Murphy (Brian) of Mansfield and Kristin Sprague (Tim) of Muscatine, Iowa; his grandsons, Max Murphy of Cleveland, Joshua of Mansfield, Cody Shambre of Mansfield and James Sprague of Muscatine, Iowa; his siblings, Robert L. Leather (Judy) of Florida and Carol S. Roberts of Mansfield; his brother-in-law Donald Henry (Barbara) of North Carolina; and his son-in-law Adam Shambre. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
