He was predeceased by: his wife Agnes; his siblings, Robert Brookover, Elaine Burns and Margaret Thrasher; and his granddaughter Stephanie Brookover.
He is survived by: his children, Matthew (Beverly), Joseph (Tracie), David Brookover (Shelly) and Theresa Schindler (Tom); and his grandchildren, Natalie (Mike), Jacob, Joe Jr., Julia, Jason, Bryant (Elizabeth), McKayla Brookover, Tommy Schindler and Hannah Schindler.
