He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lutz and Lottie Lutz (Campbell); and his brothers, John Lutz, Bill Lutz and Dave Lutz.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Lutz; his daughters, Casandra Herndon (Michael), Jodi Westfall (Tim), Keri Dickey and Shannon Lutz; his grandchildren, Michael Herndon, Gabrielle Dickey, Alexis Morris, Blaike Dickey, Hannah Morris, Cazlea Morris (Zeljko), Markus Morris, Tessa Dickey, Robert Westfall and Jared Herndon; his great grandchildren, Andersynn Lutz, Drazen Lalovic, Lailana Taylor, Leo Lalovic, Amina Morris, Graysen Meeks, Mia Lalovic and Blaize Danko; his siblings, Marjorie Monk, Mary Molnar (Jim) and Lou Lutz; and his sisters-in-law, Joyce Lutz and Curly Lutz. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as many, many friends.
