With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jerry Downey of Windham, Ohio, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on October 8, 2021 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Jr. Downey and Beatrice Downey; his father-in-law William "Sam" Croft; his siblings-in-law, Joan Hebb, Brenda Croft, Cindy Downey and Richard Gilbert; his niece Tami Sgambati; and his nephew Daniel Gilbert.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Downey; his pet Sophie; his children, Mike Downey, Brian Downey (Barb) and Christina Ladd (John); his siblings, Wannedia Wirick (Jess) and Ken Downey (Anne Boshears); his mother-in-law Lois Croft; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Whitacre (Walt), Dale Gilbert and David Croft (Mary). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren.
