She was predeceased by: her parents, Amos Jones and Lottie Jones (Sapp); her brother Jerry Jones; her brother-in-law Bob Schadle; and her great grandchild Ruby Ratliff.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Bess Jr. (Charlie) of West Union, Anthony Bess (Deanie) of Sardinia, Sheila Waterfield (Ritchie) of Georgetown and Wray Jean Ratliff (Greg) of Winchester; her sister Dorothy Schadle of Cincinnati; and her sister-in-law Debby Jones of Winchester. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cincinnati Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired, 2045 Gilbert Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45202.
