Thomas C. Downing Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Thomas C. Downing of Winchester, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 26, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Downing (Boss) and Florence Downing (Bailey); his wife Velma Jane Downing (Naylor); and his son Thomas Chad Downing. He is survived by: his daughters, Barbara Shipley (Tim) of Winchester and Leslie Jones (Bradley) of Winchester; his grandchildren, Jacqueline Stitt (Andrew), David Shipley, Madelin Shipley, Braylie and Kenlie Jones; and his great grandchild Ruthie Stitt. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, two brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Winchester Church of Christ (1540 Tri-County Rd, Winchester, OH 45697). A masonic service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 7:45 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at the Maysville Cemetery (1521 Forest Ave, Maysville, KY 41056).
