He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thomas and Elva Rickey (Purdin); his granddaughter Brittany Collins; and his siblings, William, Robert, John, Wendell, Donald Rickey, Leslie Rickey, Phyllis Carl and Emma Rickey.
He is survived by: his wife Gwendolyn Rickey; his daughters, Kimberly Cornett, Kelley Williams, Kara Minton and Kristi Gray; and his siblings, Shirley Massie, Brice Rickey and Ronald Rickey. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
