She was predeceased by: her parents, Mella T. Stewart and Elma Jewel Stewart (Orme); her daughter Tia Cooper Rice; and her sister Linda Harrell. She is survived by: her husband Philip Cooper; her children, Ty Cooper (Cheryl), Tris Cooper (Cindy), Chip Cooper (Jane), Philip Cooper (Theresa) and Jody Wilson (Scott); and her sister Myra Stewart. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
