He was predeceased by: his parents, George Earl Pitzer and Mabel Mobley Pitzer of Virginia; his wife Jean Pitzer; his great grandchild Leland Yerian; and his brother Jack Pitzer.
He is survived by: his children, William Denver Pitzer, Jr. (Marisol) of Keller, TX and Melinda S. Pitzer-Davidson (Teresa Jenkins) of Wilmington; his grandchildren, Tinisha Wilson (Matt) of Wilmington, Roberta "Bobi" Hile (Roger) of Wilmington and Diego Pitzer of Keller, TX; and his siblings, Tom Pitzer (Jenny), Wayne Pitzer (Maryann), Robert Pitzer (Sue), Gary Pitzer (Cindy) and Linda Hile (Lowell). He is also survived by 7 great granddaughters and 1 great grandson.
