She was predeceased by: her husband Gary L. Kersey; her parents, Luster Prater and Lois Prater (Coleman); her sisters, Lucy Peck, Brenda Paige and Karen Prater; and her brother-in-law Charles Older.
She is survived by: her son Charles Older (Stacie); her stepdaughters, Gena Kersey (Timothy Orr) and Nina Kersey (Benjamin Brown); and her brothers, Ron Prater (Jody) and Randall Prater (Nola).
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Homes (327 N South St, Wilmington, OH 45177). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that contributions be made to the Wilmington Historical Society, PO Box 529, Wilmington, Ohio 45177 or the Murphy Theatre, 50 West Main Street, Wilmington, Ohio 45177 to continue to preserve the historical legacy of the community.
