He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Rutledge and Myrtle Rutledge. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Ward Fulkerson; his daughters, Tami Rutledge and Tonya Meeks; his stepchildren, Eric Fulkerson, Lori Blair (Tim) and Judy Neville (Chris); his son Duane Caplinger; and his sister Esther Crownover.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rodney's memory may be made to VITAS Hospice, 255 E 5th St, Ste 1200, Cincinnati, OH 45202.
