She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Estel Shoemaker and Imogene Shoemaker (Huffman); her husband James Day; her sons, Mark Smith (Susan) of Pendleton, KY and Kevin Smith (Jackie) of Wilmington; her grandchildren, Stephanie Smith, Brent Lawson (Amanda), Derek Smith (Lauren Weinberger) and Brittany Fenner (Terry); her great grandchildren, Brody, Zayn, Maison, Ruby, Evelyn, Rylan, Zander, Weston and Maddox; her brother Estel Jr.; and her sister-in-law Marilyn Shoemaker. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer's Association.
