She was predeceased by: her father Raymond R. Shelton; her sons, Troy Robert Simpson and Robert Lee Simpson; her grandmother Mabel Potter; and her brother-in-law Carl Estep.
She is survived by: her mother Dorothy J. Shelton (Huston) of Wilmington; her sisters, Linda Strider (Kevin) of Washington, C. H., Ellen Estep of Wilmington and Teri Stanforth (Rodney Wisecup) of Wilmington; her nieces and nephews, Jeremy Strider (Julie) of Kentucky, Joshua Strider (Amber) of Washington, C. H., Kathy Estep (Johnny) of Hillsboro and Rusty Estep (Jody) of Wilmington; and her great-nephew Nicholas Wallace of Martinsville.
