He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Smith and Bertha Mae Mulford (Cherryholmes); his wife Katherine Mulford; his sister Myra Ann Hall (Otis); and his brother-in-law John Colson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Elizabeth Louallen (Brian) of Lebanon and Rebekah Robinson (Matt) of Middletown; his nephew Joe Carter (Tracy) of Morrow; and his siblings, Joe Mulford (Phyllis) of Madeira, Marilynn Colson of Salem, AL and Cheryl Carter (Pete) of Raleigh, NC. He is also survived by several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews.
