She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Eugene Peyton and Virginia Brown Peyton; her husband William Ellsworth Burns; her son Darren Michael Burns; and her siblings, Howard Peyton, Donald Peyton, Richard Leroy Peyton and Vivian Green.
She is survived by: her daughters, Deborah Burns of Wilmington and Julie Burns of Wilmington; her granddaughter Jaebreon Burns of Cincinnati; and her brothers-in-law, Darrell "Chuck" Hancock Burns and Dennis Morton. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends and family.
