He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Lewis and Mary Anna Voltz (Jones); his wife Mary Leola Wittung; his son Jerry Lynn Voltz; and his siblings, Carl, Fred, Alfred C. Voltz, Alice Etter, LoAnn Baxter, Amy Elizabeth Cox Hulls, Mae Neate and Maryhelen Barnes.
He is survived by: his children, Lynnette R. Ruble (Todd) of Decatur, Indiana and Kevin L. Voltz (Ronda) of Van Wert; his grandchildren, Anthony, Ben, Caleb Voltz, Rachel and Aaron Ruble; and his sister Winifred Frey of Willshire.
