He is survived by: his close friend Roseann Hathaway; his children, David Adkins, Lisa and Lena Adkins; his stepchildren, Aida Pierce and Carlos Aguinaga; his grandchildren, Jessica, Justin, Emily, Lauren and Danielle; and his sister Shirley Wray. He is also survived by several half-brothers and half-sisters, and several nieces and nephews.
