She was predeceased by: her mother Wendy; her husband Frank L. Platzar; and her father Jay Dan Hart. She is survived by: her children, Lisa M. Yerse (Dave), Dan Platzar, Christian M. Platzar (Meggen), Mark J. Platzar and Derrick S. Platzar; her grandchildren, Michaela, Brenna, Kylie, Kiera, Georgia, Bailey, Cora and Ava; and her siblings, Randy Hart (Linda) and Kathy Mikus (John). She is also survived by her many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Always looking to do what she could to make her community a better place, Wendy was part of numerous organizations including the Willoughby Junior Women's Club and the Willoughby-Eastlake Schools Foundation.
