He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Brettrager and Helen (Zagorski); his stepfather Royal Brockett; and his brothers, Richard, Raymond and Donald Brettrager.
He is survived by: his wife Rosa (Boatman); his children, Sandy Davis (Lee), Royal Brettrager (Beth) and Susan Szymanski; and his grandchildren, Anthony, Royal, Andy, Michael, Evan and Rosa. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
