He was predeceased by: his wife Marla Cassi-Varnes; his parents, Pete Espenschied and Martha Espenschied; and his brother David. He is survived by: his children, Duane Varnes, Michael Varnes, Amiee Robinson and Jacki Varnes; and his siblings, Kay Marquard and Randy Varnes.
