She was predeceased by: her parents, Margarete Elizabeth (Grete) and Krsto Filipov Sofranac; and her husband Charles Michael Kerkel. She is survived by: her sons, Michael (Shari), Joseph and David; her brother Rodo (Susan); her granddaughters, Rhiannon and Rosie; her goddaughters, Anastasia and Madeline; and also, Nicholas and Christopher.
