He was predeceased by: his parents, H. Wayne Bixel and Dorothy Bixel (Eckart); his sister Edith; his brother-in-law Russell Vermilye; and his parents-in-law, Walter and Florence Wells.
He is survived by: his children, Ron Bixel (Janice), Mike Bixel (Beth) and Diane Trubiano (Mark); his grandchildren, Ashley Harris (Cullen), Alyssa Bezanson (Ethan), Chelsea Haglage (Joe), Tyler Bixel (Holly), Kaia Trubiano, Michael Bixel, Max Trubiano and Margo Trubiano; his great grandchildren, Cooper, Paisley, Keegan, Beckett, Oaklyn and Mia; and his pet Albert.
Out of an abundance of caution due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there will be no calling hours and a private family service will be held.
