He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil William and Florence Josephine Unkel; and his brother Edward Unkel. He is survived by: his siblings, William, Joanne and Maryann Romig (Tom); his nieces and nephews, Laura, Carri Swiger (Jeff), Jennifer, Janet, Douglas and Matthew; and his close friend Michael Adamovich.
