He was predeceased by: his brother George Dawson. He is survived by: his children, John Dawson (Sarah) of Painesville, Jimmie Dawson of Willoughby, Mike and Rob Dawson of Florida; his grandchildren, Tyler, Paige, Johnathon, Isabella, Lydia, Mickenzie, Lincoln, Brooklyn, Alice and Kayden; his sisters, Vickie Young and Candy Goglin (Jeff); and his nieces and nephews, Kelly, Carl, Chris, Jennifer and Kenny.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home (38001 Euclid Ave, Willoughby, OH 44094). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 7:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Homeless Vets or St. Jude's Children's Hospital, in honor of James's compassionate spirit.
