He was predeceased by: his parents, Ward Wheeler and Mary Wheeler; his wife Mary Ellen Wolfe Wheeler; his sisters, Grace Fugate (Robert) and Betty Wucherer (William); and his niece Joan Adam.
He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey A. Wheeler (Barbara) of Mentor and Debra E. Malchano (William) of Wilmington; and his grandchildren, Dr. Jonathan Wheeler, Mary Elizabeth VanBoxel of Mentor, OH, Dr. Jack Wheeler of Granville, OH, James Cushing IV of Wilmington, NC and Andrew Cushing of Wilmington, NC.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lyons Chapel at the Nason Center of Ohio Living Breckenridge Village (36859 Ridge Rd, Willoughby, OH 44094). A memorial service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lyons Chapel at Breckenridge Village (36859 Ridge Rd, Willoughby, OH 44094).
