He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Eckert and Mathilda Eckert; his brother Richard Eckert (late Beverly); his parents-in-law, John and Mary Persin; and his brother-in-law Thomas Persin.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Eckert; his children, Cathy Mekker (David), David, Jeffery (Leslie Hebert), Joel (Heather), Suzanne, Peter Elliot and Amy Fasone (Mike); his grandchildren, Karlyn, Mason, John, Michaela and Ava; and his sister-in-law Judith Persin.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name are suggested to Hospice of the Western Reserve, Lake County Touchdown Club, or the American Heart Association.
