He was predeceased by: his wife Lucille; his parents, Mike and Stella; and his brothers, Paul and Emil.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Spodar-Harris (Jeffrey), Lisa Abbott (Tim) and Leslie Markel (Robert Frantz); his grandchildren, Christopher Markel, Sara Gilliam (Sean), Jennifer Abbott (Tony Bilic), Melissa Abbott and Jason Abbott; and his great grandchildren, Bobby, Nora and Callan.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the DeJohn-Flynn-Mylott Funeral Home of Willoughby Hills (28890 Chardon Rd, Willoughby Hills, OH 44092). A prayer was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the DeJohn Flynn Mylott Funeral Home - Willoughby Hills (28890 Chardon Rd, Willoughby Hills, OH 44092). A burial was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the All Souls Cemetery (10366 Chardon Rd, Chardon, OH 44024).
