He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence McCune and Gertrude McCune; his wife Rita McCune; and his sister Rosemary G. Shannon. He is survived by: his son Donald E. "Butch" McCune (Bernadette). He is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Donald can be made Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine or St. Jude.
