It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Archie Tunnell (Willoughby Hills, Ohio), born in Gypsum, Ohio, who passed away on February 6, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his children, David (Laura) and Gina Desmarais (Todd); his parents, Guy and Leona; and his siblings, William and Mary Hackworth.
He is survived by: his spouse Marlyn; his daughter Danielle Thombs (Todd); his grandchildren, Hannah Contello (Giovanni), Brandon (Rachel Rudolph), Johnny Thombs (Amanda), Emma White (Corey), Lea Tunnell, Lydia Thombs and Shaelyn Desmarais; and his great grandchildren, Archie and Wilson Thombs.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the DeJohn Flynn Mylott Funeral Home - Willoughby Hills (28890 Chardon Rd, Willoughby Hills, OH 44092). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Church of St. Clare (5659 Mayfield Rd, Lyndhurst, OH 44124). A burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the All Souls Cemetery (10366 Chardon Rd, Chardon, OH 44024).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Arch to Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine or Cleveland Right to Life.
