He was predeceased by: his parents, Franc Švigelj and Neža Švigelj; and his siblings, Franc, Marija, Ana, Francka, Jože, Stanislava and Janez.
He is survived by: his wife Cecilia; his daughters, Cecilia Kusold (Bob) and Martha Gaser (Joe); his grandchildren, Nicole Kusold-Matheou (Denny), Rachael Cully (Brian), Michael Kusold (Katie), Anna Gaser (Jonathan), Milo Kusold (Denise McDonough) and Kati Lombardo (Mark); his great grandchildren, John, Nicholas, Margo and Cora; his siblings-in-law, Antonia Švigelj and Frank Grcar (late Frida); and his cousin Frank Lovko. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
