She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Willis Shaffer and Alice Jane Shaffer (Evans); her siblings, Karlene Shaffer and Ben Shaffer; and her sister-in-law Rhonda Shaffer.

She is survived by: her siblings, Christine Teakell (John), Rebecca Hutchins (Jamie) of Parkersburg and Daniel Shaffer (Brenda) of Massillon, OH; and her close friend Lily. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
