He was predeceased by : his father Robert Eugene; and his brother Robert Eugene Oesterle. He is survived by : his wife Marla Denise Rhinesmith; his daughters, Robin Allen (Gary) of Lebanon, IN and Betsy Anders (Jack) of Clarksburg; his grandchildren, Elaine B. Prushing of Morehead, KY, Jack E. Anders of Clarksburg, Luke C. Anders of Clarksburg and Hannah M. Anders of Clarksburg; his great grandchild Hazel Grace Sutton; his daughter Lori McCoy of Williamsport; and his sisters-in-law, Marie Parrett of Chillicothe and Elyse Henson (Mark) of Circleville. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
