He was predeceased by : his parents, Francis "Alfred" and Sylvia Johnson (Williams). He is survived by : his daughters, Greta Bowman (Eric), Sarah Anne Johnson (Coulton West) and Emma Lynne Johnson; the mother of his children Teresa McKie; and his fiancée Elizabeth Holden.

Visitation was held on Friday, June 21st 2024 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Circleville Presbyterian Church (134 W Mound St, Circleville, OH 43113). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, June 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

To continue Steve's legacy and recognize his passions in life, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Circleville Presbyterian Church, Bailey's Mountain Bike Trail System, the North American Junior Limousin Association or the National Cutting Horse Association.
