She was predeceased by: her parents, Ethel Joyner (Salley) and Ivory Joyner; her daughter Mildred Faulkner; her siblings, Flossie Joyner, Ethel Mae Joyner, Oscar Joyner and Frank Joyner; and her great grandchild Jamaica Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Shirley Carter (Mac) of Ashtabula, Bertina Silver of Baltimore, Wanda Guy of Franklin, Tennessee, Michael Cunningham (Amanda) of Williamsfield and Burke Thomas Cunningham (Tera) of Andover, Ohio. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
