She was predeceased by: her husband Robert A. Hess; her parents, Frank Brown and Mabel Brown; and her siblings, Adrian Brown, Marshalynn Moore and Marilynn Highfield.
She is survived by: her children, David Hess (Julia), Frank Hess (Wendy), Philip Hess (Cheryl) and Lesley Blanton (Tim); her grandchildren, Steven Hess (Heather), Chad Hess (Krys), Kari Hess, Jeremy Hess (Crystal), Sarah Tyo (Chris) and Evan Blanton (Tabitha); and her great grandchildren, Aidan, Ezra, Cyrus and Emerson.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to the church or a charity of your choice.
