Kevin M. Dorgan Obituary
DORGAN, Kevin M., age 60, of Williamsburg, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Bethesda North Hospital. Kevin was a graduate of Little Miami High School, class of '78, where he was involved in the Navy ROTC. He was an underwater diver since the age of 18 and owned his own company for 42 years. In addition, he was a police officer and firefighter in South Lebanon from 1982-1989.
Ever since a young age, he always had a soft spot for animals. When he was a child, he loved horses, but as he got older, he had a wildlife sanctuary that contained numerous animals, especially his beloved deer. In his free time, he enjoyed the wind in his face and the excitement of the open road while riding his motorcycle.
Even when he was younger, you could always find him on a boat, whether for recreational or for work. Every year on St. Patrick's Day, they would travel to Columbus to watch the parade with his kids and extended family. During Halloween, he would bring his gator to Heather's house, connect it to a trailer, and pull the grandchildren around to all the places that gave out the "good" candy.
On Christmas, his grandkids would wait on him to get to their house before running down the stairs to see if Santa had come. Among many things, he will be remembered for the memories he made with his children and grandchildren during the holidays. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Edmund (Sarah) Dorgan and Max (Willa) Roe, and his best friend Wolf Olson.
He is survived by his wife L. Dorgan; three daughters Tiffany Dorgan (Brian Boggs); Heather (Alex) Poteet; and C. Dorgan; five grandchildren Payton Sonny, Bella Poteet, Addison Poteet, Tara-Faye Poteet, and Chloe Brown; parents Mike (Joyce) Dorgan and Jean Dorgan; two brothers Steve (Janice) Dorgan and Michael (Kim) Dorgan; multiple nieces and nephews; and numerous extended family members both in Columbus, Ohio and Cork, Ireland.
A memorial mass will be 11 AM on Saturday, December 18 at St. Columban Church in Loveland. Father Larry Tensi will be officiating. Immediately following the mass, the family invites everyone to continue Kevin's celebration of life at Loveland's LaRosa's Pizzeria, 901 Loveland Madeira Rd, Loveland, Ohio 45140. If desired, contributions may be made to Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home for a monument at Miami Cemetery in Corwin.
