He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Malott and Mildred Fronsoe; and his siblings, Ruth Freeman, Frances Hooven, Ronald Malott and Roger Malott.
He is survived by: his wife Donna S. Malott; his children, Cindy Herren (Mark) of Williamsburg and John Malott Jr. (Shawnna) of Williamsburg, Ohio; his grandchildren, Ashton, Abby, Owen, Tori and Alli; his siblings, Charles Malott (Jean) of Bethel, Helen York (Jim) of Williamsburg, Joyce Worstell (Jerry) of Xenia, Bob Malott (Sandy) of Homestead, Edith Readmond of Williamsburg, Pat Byrd of South Lebanon, Vick Malott of South Lebanon and Rick Malott (Kelly) of Wilmington; and his sisters-in-law, Laura Malott and Saytha Malott. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
