He was predeceased by: his parents, Owen Ashcraft and Mollie Ashcraft; and his siblings, Eugene Ashcraft, Rudolph Ashcraft, Billy Curtis and Virginia Hubbard.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth L. Ashcraft (Barrett); his children, James Thomas Ashcraft Jr., Veronica "Voni" Owen, Lori Brown (Robert), Troy Ashcraft (Jody), Tara Smith (Paul) and Kelly Barrett (Barb); and his sisters, Betty Elfer and Emma Wehrum. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
