He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Brinson and Luella Mae Brinson; his sister Verda Smith; and his grandson Nathan Woods. He is survived by: his spouse Sherril Brinson; his daughters, Brenda Tekuelve (Greg), Linda Zugg (Kenneth) and Reva Woods (Johnny); his siblings, Fred Brinson and Florence Van Hook; and his grandchildren, Micah Tekuelve (Stephanie), Mark Tekuelve (Courtney), Rebecca Herrick (Micah), Kenneth Jr. Zugg (Shelby), Hannah Conley (Ross), Sarah Zugg, Emily Hopkins (Daniel) and Gabriel Woods. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
