Though Barbara Lee may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Barbara Lee touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert O. Lawrence and Jeanette Lawrence; her husband Thomas "Denny" Denver Proffitt; her brother Robert Lawrence; and her pet Bubba.
She is survived by: her children, Corey Jones, Joseph Jones (Rebecca) and Brigham Jones; and her sister Wanda Myers. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the E. C. Nurre Funeral Home (177 W Main St, Amelia, OH 45102). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
